Bray Transport and Local Area Plan Update
The Bray Transport Committee meeting scheduled for last week was postponed due to illness. It has been rescheduled for Thursday 14th May.
We also met with the planning department last Thursday to discuss land zoning in Bray. They confirmed that the delay to the Bray Local Area Plan is intentional, they want the LAP to be developed alongside the comprehensive transport study, so that the two are properly aligned rather than one playing catch-up with the other. The planning department could see during the public consultation period that transport and infrastructure are clear concerns for the community.
The transport plan is currently out to tender, with a decision on the successful contractor expected soon. LAP workshops will begin in the coming weeks, public consultation is planned for the autumn, and a final plan should be ready for approval in March next year.
