Canvassing in Kilmacanogue

Canvassing in Kilmacanogue

I recently spent time canvassing in Kilmacanogue, part of the Bray West constituency. The visit was an important opportunity to meet residents and hear their views about their community.

It was clear that not everyone knew I was one of their elected representatives, and many expressed feeling neglected and somewhat disconnected from local decision-making.

During the conversations, residents highlighted several issues they would like addressed, including:

  • A lollypop person at the school crossing

  • Pavement repairs and general maintenance

  • Concerns about overcrowding in houses

  • Estate maintenance

Speaking with residents directly is essential to understand what matters most to the community. These conversations gave residents the opportunity to talk about local concerns and help ensure that the voices of Kilmacanogue are heard in decision-making.

I look forward to continuing to engage with residents and working on practical solutions to improve the village and the wider Bray West area.
