Launch of the Wicklow Children and Young People’s Plan 2025–2027
I attended the launch of the Wicklow Children and Young People’s Plan 2025–2027, a key event focused on improving outcomes for children and young people across the county.
During the event, we heard an update from CYPSC (Children and Young People’s Services Committee), as well as the launch of two important initiatives: Planet Youth Wicklow and the F: ACES Child Poverty Study. Each presentation highlighted the strong collaborative work happening across agencies, services, and communities in Wicklow.
This event particularly resonated with me, as it connects closely with my various roles as Comhairle na nÓg Coordinator, Councillor, Chair of the Community Development Strategic Planning Group, and Speech and Language Therapist. It was encouraging to see how these areas overlap, and how we can continue to work together to support children and young people in a meaningful way.
We are all working toward the same goal of finding ways to support each other and collaborate to make Wicklow a place where every child and young person can thrive.
