Congratulations to SiSú Juice Company Ltd, based in Greystones and supported by Local Enterprise Office Wicklow, who won the Mid-East Regional Award at this year's National Enterprise Awards.
The awards, now in their 26th year, were presented at the Round Room in the Mansion House in Dublin and are organised annually by the Local Enterprise Offices. Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke presented the awards, with Bryan Dobson and Sonya Lennon as MCs. Attendees included the Cathaoirligh and Chief Executives of local authorities nationwide, along with the founders and staff of all 31 competing businesses.
SiSú is a nutritional drinks company producing cold-pressed juices, plant milks, kombucha and overnight oats. The business started in the McGann family kitchen, developed by Fiona McGann with her husband Brian, before their daughter Aisling, an accountant and former Head of Finance at Hello Fresh, joined the company in 2023.
The name comes from a Finnish word meaning resilience and bravery. The products are now produced at scale and sold across retail and foodservice outlets in Ireland. In February 2026, SiSú announced world champion boxer Katie Taylor as their first Brand Ambassador and launched Fizzique, a new nutritional carbonated drink.
The overall National Enterprise of the Year award went to Sugar Plum Sweetery, supported by Local Enterprise Office Westmeath. The 31 finalists, chosen by their respective Local Enterprise Offices, competed for a share of an €80,000 prize fund across categories including Best Start-Up, Best Export Business, Innovation, Digital, Green, and Female Entrepreneur, alongside the regional awards.
Wicklow businesses have a strong track record at the National Enterprise Awards, including Kate Dempsey of Aqualicense, who won the Overall Award in 2022; Tony O'Kane of WHC Lab Group, who won the Innovation Award in 2023; and Craig and Catherine Brady of Brady's Coffee, who won the South-East Region Award in 2024.
The National Enterprise Awards are run by the Local Enterprise Offices, which are funded by the Government of Ireland through Enterprise Ireland, and which have helped create over 80,000 jobs nationally since their inception. More information is available at www.LocalEnterprise.ie.
