Update on Bray Wanderers Changing Place Project
Nearly a year ago, County Wicklow Disability and Inclusion Steering Group agreed to allocate funds to provide a Changing Place facility at Bray Wanderers. This will be a much-needed addition to our community, offering accessible changing facilities for people with complex needs.
Bray Wanderers is an ideal location as it's close to the town centre, the seafront, and with the potential to be open during unsociable hours, making it convenient for families and carers.
Progress has been slower than I hoped, but I am pleased to share that the project has now been formally assigned to the Bray Municipal District (MD) staff. I recently visited the site with our new District Administrator to walk through the space and review plans for the installation.
This facility will be a vital resource for so many in our community, and I am determined to keep pushing until it becomes a reality. Thank you to everyone who has supported this project so far, together, we’re making Bray more inclusive for everyone.
