Bray and Würzburg Students Close Exchange with Town Hall Debate

This week, students from Würzburg, Germany, and St Kilian’s Community School in Bray wrapped up a week-long exchange program, part of the long-standing twinning between Bray and Würzburg.

The final event at Bray Town Hall gave the young people a chance to reflect on the week and discuss issues that matter to young people across Europe. Sitting in the councillors’ seats, they debated topics just like in a real council meeting. The most serious concern that came up was war.

A highlight of the session was Maurice stepping in as chair, doing an excellent job keeping the debate focused and fair.

This exchange wasn’t just about formal discussions — it was a chance for young people from two different countries to share ideas, learn from each other, and strengthen the connection between Bray and Würzburg.
